Responsible Gaming

This page sets out practical advice for gambling responsibly and explains plainly what this site can and cannot do to help. Every page on this site, including this one, carries links to three independent gambling-help organisations: BeGambleAware, Gambling Therapy and GamCare. Those links appear on every page of this build, this page included, and they are the only outbound links on the whole site that are not commercial. Unlike the operator links found elsewhere here, they carry no sponsored marking, they are set to nofollow, and they open in a separate tab on the organisations' own websites. This site receives nothing when a reader follows them.

Decide Your Approach Before You Play

Set an amount before you start and treat it as already spent, the same way you would treat the cost of a ticket to an event. Deciding in advance removes the pressure of deciding mid-session, when a run of losses or wins makes judgement less reliable. Once that amount is gone, stop rather than reaching for more, because chasing a loss usually means playing with money you had already allocated elsewhere, not genuine spare funds.

Keep gambling separate from borrowed money or funds meant for bills, rent or anything essential. Money under pressure changes how a loss feels and makes it harder to walk away at the point you originally intended. Take breaks during a session rather than playing in one continuous stretch: a short pause outside the moment often makes it easier to notice whether you are still enjoying it or simply continuing out of habit.

If gambling stops feeling like entertainment and starts feeling like something you need to do, involve someone else early, a friend, a family member, or one of the independent organisations linked on this page. Raising it sooner, before spending has become a serious problem, generally leaves more options open than waiting until the situation feels unmanageable.

Know What This Site Cannot Do For You

Controls such as deposit caps, loss caps, reality checks, cooling-off periods or self-exclusion all live inside an operator's account, set up and enforced by that operator once you have signed up there. This build has no account system, no form and no server-side application behind it, so nothing published on this site can switch any of those controls on, check whether one is active, or enforce one. If you want any of them, they have to be arranged at the destination you reach after following an operator link.

The eighteen-and-over restriction is repeated throughout this build, including on the front page, but nobody's age is verified on this site itself, and no gambling takes place here. Any age check happens at the destination, once you have left this site. Everything a reader can actually do with money happens after leaving this site: each operator link redirects to a third party, and from that moment the destination's own rules, checks and account controls apply, not anything published here.

No advertising or behavioural profiling network operates on these pages, so nothing on this site is targeted at a reader based on signs of risky play. The three organisations named above are listed here only as independent sources of help; this page does not describe what each one offers beyond that, and it names no address, telephone number or organisation beyond those three.
